F-CLASS RIFLE SHOOTING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to the Australian F Class Open Team, especially the Team members from North Queensland - they won Gold at the team event of the 'F Class OPEN' World Championships in Raton, New Mexico, USA!

An article in the Charters Towers newspaper "The Northern Miner" confirms the first NQRA Queens was conducted in Townsville on 30 May 1888.
Please be advised that as at the 1 July 2013 all Weapons Licensing fees will be increased in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The new fees will apply to all applicants for Weapons licences, permits and approvals, regardless of the fee printed on the application or renewal form.
Also, effective from 1 July 2013, legislation has been amended to: - Extension of Firearms Licence/s (for Category A and B only) from five years to ten years. - Extend the Permit to Acquire from three months to six months before expiring.

The NQRA Queens is returning to Townsville in 2014. This year's 2013 Queens will be the last NQRA Queens to be conducted at Mt Vince Rifle Range, Mackay. Rifle shooters, particularly those that have previously attended, are invited to join us to commemorate 42 years of Holiday Queens in Mackay. Please nominate early.
Mossman Rifle Club is now going to hold its Prize Shoot - which had to be cancelled in May due to extensive flooding - on Sunday 9th September 2012.
